Learn-to-Skate USA program is a  ‘USFS’  sanctioned basic skills skating program for skaters of all levels & abilities who wish to learn the skills needed to advance into a figure skating program or hockey program, or just have fun become a better skater!

Instruction is provided by members of our Professional Staff with years of experience preparing children with a solid foundation of basic skating skills for any pursuit of skating.

BEGINNER PROGRAM—For children ages 3, 4 & 5 yrs old. Program includes 25 minutes of basic instruction in a fun, smaller class environment. Once the 9:40 AM classes are full, additional classes at 10:15 AM will be added on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children are moved into the next program when they reach 6 yrs and can pass the minimum test level for the 40 min class program.

(We do not use "crates" or any skating aids, the children learn much faster under the constant direction of our professional experienced staff. They gain confidence quickly while enjoying skating!) All participants must be at least 3 years old by the start of first class.

Helmets are strongly suggested (face cage recommended). Parents must sign a waiver release if their child does not wear a helmet. No double runners allowed. Single blades skates only! Must provide own equipment as the arena does not have rental skates.

LEARN TO SKATE / AGES 6+ to ADULT This program includes a 40 minute lesson and a 20 minute practice session. Skaters are divided based on age and ability. First time skaters are welcome at any age! End of session testing included. All skaters are eligible to participate in special events, family skates, and the Annual Ice Show held in the Spring.

NEW THIS YEAR! Hockey Stick & Puck Time! For children enrolled in the 60 minute Learn to Skate program, they now have the option to practice with a stick and puck during the 20 minute free skate session (in the designated area of the ice). Full gear not required but helmet and gloves necessary.

HOCKEY SKILLS CLASS - A specialized hockey skating skills/Learn to Skate class for those skaters wanting to join a Learn to Play hockey program, or team, in the future. Skaters must have passed out of our Beginner class to qualify. Hockey gear preferred, but not required.

NEW! ADVANCED LEARN-TO-SKATE FOR FIGURE SKATING For skaters interested in learning more advanced figure skating skills and/or beginner competitions. Class is offered at 10:50AM on Saturdays. Skaters must pass a minimum test with an instructor prior to joining.  Includes Intro Membership with our Figure Skating Club. Ask our Skating Director for additional information!

9:40 AM - 10:40 AM

(*Classes for ages 3 to 5 years are held from 9:40-10:05 AM or 10:15-10:40 AM based on enrollment).
