Learn-to-Skate USA program is a  ‘USFS’  sanctioned basic skills skating program for skaters of all levels & abilities who wish to learn the skills needed to advance into a figure skating program or hockey program, or just have fun become a better skater!

Instruction is provided by members of our Professional Staff with years of experience preparing children with a solid foundation of basic skating skills for any pursuit of skating.

BEGINNER PROGRAM—For children ages 3, 4 & 5 yrs old. Program includes 25 minutes of basic instruction in a fun, smaller class environment. Once the 9:40 AM classes are full, additional classes at 10:15 AM will be added on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children are moved into the next program when they reach 6 yrs and can pass the minimum test level for the 40 min class program. (We do not use "crates" or any skating aids, the children learn much faster under the constant direction of our professional experienced staff. They gain confidence quickly while enjoying skating!) All participants must be at least 3 years old by the start of first class.

LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM—For ages 6 years and older. Includes a 40 minute lesson and a 20 minute practice. Skaters are divided based upon age and ability. End of session badge testing included. Skaters may enroll in our private lesson program at any point during Learn to Skate. Skaters are also eligible to join as Introductory Club members and take advantage of our full services in the skating club.

Helmets are strongly suggested (face cage recommended). Parents must sign a waiver release if their child does not wear a helmet. No double runners allowed. Single blades skates only! Must provide own equipment as the arena does not have rental skates.

NEW THIS YEAR! Hockey Stick Time!

For ages 6 years and older, skaters enrolled in class may now use their 20 minute "free skate" time to practice skating with a stick and puck. Skaters must stay in section designated for Stick Time, and must wear a helmet and hockey gloves.

Basic Information

Skates and helmets required (face cage recommended). Single blade skates only, no double-runner skates allowed. Gloves and warm clothes that do not restrict movement are recommended.

9:40 AM - 10:40 AM,
